Looking for a responsible breeder?
When looking to purchase a puppy, it's essential to choose a responsible breeder. A reputable breeder will screen their dogs for health issues, including hip dysplasia, using evaluations from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) or PennHIP. This commitment to health ensures that you're bringing home a puppy that has the best chance for a long, happy life. Make sure to ask for documentation and don’t hesitate to inquire about the breeder's practices.

BUYER DISCLOSURE STATEMENT
Ringgold Goldie’s
Ringgold Goldie’s is committed to responsible, ethical, and lawful dog breeding. This disclosure is provided to ensure transparency and to help our puppy buyers make informed decisions.
Legal Compliance
Ringgold Goldie’s operates as a small, private breeding program located in Pickaway County, Ohio, outside municipal (city or village) limits. Our breeding activity does not meet the definition of a high-volume commercial breeder under Ohio Revised Code Chapter 956. We remain in compliance with all applicable Ohio state laws, Pickaway County regulations, and general animal welfare standards. All adult dogs are properly licensed through the Pickaway County Auditor, as required by law.
Breeding Practices
We breed intentionally and selectively, prioritizing health, temperament, and breed standards over volume. Our dogs are raised in a home environment, not a commercial kennel facility. We do not sell puppies to brokers, pet stores, or third parties. All puppies are placed directly with approved families.
Health & Veterinary Care
Our breeding dogs receive routine veterinary care and appropriate health testing relevant to the breed. Puppies receive age-appropriate veterinary examinations, initial vaccinations and deworming, and complete health records at the time of pickup. Puppies are monitored daily and raised with early handling and socialization.
Puppy Placement & Buyer Screening
Ringgold Goldie’s reserves the right to screen and approve buyers to ensure suitable lifelong homes. No puppy is considered reserved until a written agreement and deposit are received. Puppies are sold as companion animals unless otherwise stated in writing.
Ethical Commitment
We prioritize the health, safety, and lifelong welfare of every dog we breed. We limit breeding to ensure the well-being of the dam and proper care of each litter. If at any time a buyer can no longer keep their puppy, Ringgold Goldie’s will accept the dog back rather than allow rehoming or surrender to a shelter.
